How I heard about Painted Brain:

I heard about the Painted Brain through my fieldwork class at UCLA. After I found out I was assigned to complete my coursework here, I took a look at the Painted Brain’s website and was so impressed by everything we do here!

What my thoughts are about mental health:

I think that everyone can benefit from “mental healthfulness” in their life. But there is much work we need to do to fight the stigma associated with mental illness so that everyone can feel comfortable seeking the help they need.

My goals here at the Painted Brain:

I want to learn as much as I can from the Painted Brain and from our talented artistic members. Specifically, I want to work to expand our efforts into working with older adults and doing more art groups with them.

How Painted Brain has contributed to my growth:

The Painted Brain encourages me to grow by challenging me to think outside of the box, constantly improving my time management skills, and be a more effective group facilitator.

How Painted Brain can improve:

We can always improve by increasing our membership. Join our ranks and see what the Painted Brain has to offer!

My responsibilities, outreach, and groups I run:

Neighborhood Restorative Justice, Women’s Group, Employment Workshop, Community Center improvement, and outreach with Older Adults sites.
