It is with great sadness that we must announce the passing of one of Painted Brain’s longstanding contributors, artist and columnist Ozzy Blount.
In the early days of Painted Brain’s existence, Ozzy was a mainstay in the Painted Brain community. His cartoons graced the pages of our print magazine for many years, and his advice column Ask Ozzy provided sage advice to the mental health community in a wryly amusing style familiar to everyone who knew him.
In celebration of his life, there will be a Buddhist memorial celebration on Sunday 12/17/17 from 3:00 to 4:30 PM at SGI – The Los Angeles Friendship Center, 5899 Venice Blvd., Room 201, Los Angeles, CA 90019.
A reception will follow. We are asking those who attend to bring along a dish of their favorite finger food.
All are welcome.
“If you practice faith yet have an attitude of complaint, you will destroy your good fortune in direct proportion. Those who are full of complaint are not respected by others. From both Buddhist and secular perspectives, their behavior does not befit a wise or worthy person.” – Daisaku Ikeda, SGI President
