A Portal to Winter

Autumn evolution oversteps into the Winter void, a theatrical consecration, that leafy curtain lifting to reveal branches bare in a glistening icy realm, an enchanting mural, coldly feverish, bejeweled opulence shattered to smithereens, giving way to frosty festive frivolity as the human link to solstice seethes its way into our spirit. An undercurrent, an almost anatomical connection with the writhing humanoid branches twisting and shapeshifting their way into the cold months ahead, imprinting us with a joyous arrival. Winter’s welcome wonderland returns.

Lulu The Green Fairy is a poet and writer living in Northern England; she is the UK correspondent for Painted Brain News.
