Mindfulness by Jesse Hunter

My anxiety has shown me

how to be compassionate.

I’ve been in situations

where people didn’t understand me

and accidentally hurt me.

Because of this, I’m able to identify

people in distress, and offer compassion.

Sometimes all that’s needed is a calm
person with a listening ear
to commiserate with.

It can be that simple.
