My Journey by Martin Chahel

A long journey with half a brain,

how often has it rained, and my illness

caused me to be a “bane”.

Tried to cheer without even a beer,

many are those I hold dear.

Avoiding with my heart, fearing the smart

of the feelings, without enough understanding

I want to be real and feel.

Thank you for sharing such a descriptive poem on mental health and feelings associated with times that are less than ideal.
