Program Overview

The LEAD Program is a statewide three-year project funded by the Mental Health Services Oversight and Accountability Commission (MHSOAC) for Client/Consumer Stakeholder Education, Advocacy, and Outreach activities.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Program Goal and Mission

 

The LEAD Program’s goal is to generate awareness of the needs of consumers/clients and ensure that they have a major role in the envisioning, development, and implementation of local and state mental health policies and programs that will result in accessible, high-quality behavioral/community health services and supports.

Painted Brain Program Collaboration and Activities 

Regional LEAD Summits:

Painted Brain hosted one local engagement event, Lead Regional Summit 2023 – Los Angeles.

Listening sessions: 

Hosted five listening sessions during which consumers identified priorities for advocacy. These listening sessions targeted the LA County region’s specific geographic and demographic populations.

Policy body presentations:

Will engage in two presentations to a policy body highlighting identified priorities and encouraging systems change.
