A leader in Services
Our Continuing Education training will encompass a broad range of topics. We are approved to provide the 6 hour Law and Ethics CE for CMPSS re-certification in California, and we have additional courses to fulfill the remaining hours for the biannual 20 hour requirement.
One of these trainings is Community Health Worker training. Peer Support Specialists have the opportunity to fulfill multiple roles, and CHW is one of these.
This training has a 4-hour asynchronous option and an 8-hour hybrid option, which delves more fully into the ways in which Peer Support work dovetails and differs from CHW work.
Another such training is Disability Awareness Training. PB has a proven track record of providing substantively similar training through an Ability Central grant. This training includes understanding how disability affects the lives and communication and learning styles of folks living with a range of disabilities.Â
PB also offers CE trainings in Goal Setting, in Recovery Planning, and in Public Speaking & Your Story. As we develop this program new training topics will arise. We will regularly offer these trainings.
Training Modalities
